16-year-old Kiera Wilmot is accused of mixing housing chemicals in a small water bottle at Bartow High School, causing the cap to fly off and produce a bit of smoke. The Florida teen with an exemplary record is facing federal charges after conducting what a classmate calls “a science project gone bad.” The experiment was conducted outdoors, no property was damaged, and no one was injured. Herbert and Catherine Schaible are unfortunate people who subscribe to a flawed faith. The Pennsylvanian couple made news in 2009 for letting their two year old son Kent die. A week ago, their 8-month-old son Brandon died because they tried to pray him back to health. He had no appetite and was getting cold sweats and vomiting, the very same symptoms that the late Kent was diagnosed with. Prosecutors said they were waiting for the autopsy report on Brandon’s death before deciding whether to press charges. Dorner Cornered in Cabin and Burned to Death

After the search for the most wanted man in America, Chris Dorner, was scaled down after this past weekend, the alleged cop killer was spotted by two wardens while driving down a street near Bear Lake, California. The wardens of the California Fish and Wildlife saw Dorner attempting to hide his vehicle from the view of locals using two buses that were also driving down the road. Immediately, they set off after him. A brave chase ensued, ending in Dorner’s car veering off the road and coming to a halt. From there, Dorner evaded the two wardens and ran off into the woods.

Ex Los Angeles cop and honorably discharged Navy man Christopher Jordan Dorner has enacted “asymmetrical warfare” on police LAPD officers after his appeal to be reinstated as a police officer was denied. When Dorner had given the LAPD an 11-page manifesto in an attempt at reinstatement, he explained how the police had allegedly mistreated him. Now retired, LAPD officer Randal Quan was in charge of handling Dorner’s appeal and, since the appeal failed, was held accountable by Dorner for his not being accepted back into the ranks of the police. North Korea Tests Missile Despite U.N. Warning

Despite the warnings of the United Nations, North Korea has conducted a third nuclear test in an undisclosed location. The U.N. warned the country that if they conducted another unauthorized test, consequences would follow. President Barack Obama, who gave a State of the Union address Tuesday, said nuclear tests “do not make North Korea more secure, and North Korea increasingly isolated and impoverished its people through its ill-advised pursuit of weapons of mass destruction.” The test was a direct violation of the U.N.’s  January warning, and a show of the “military might” of North Korea.

Yet another terrorist attack has taken place, this time at Amenas gas facility in Algeria and killing 37 workers. What is worse is that many of the workers killed came from across the world. This affects not just Algeria, but other countries like Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.. Terrorists have had nominal influence in many African countries like Mali, which has contained an ongoing struggle between the Islamist groups and the government for control of its northern portion. Death Star Petition Addressed by Government

Much to the chagrin and dismay of the thousands of signers, the White House petition to build a death star was declined. In order for a petition to be considered, it must have at least 30,000 signatures. The death star petition had over 33,000. There are many obstacles in the way of creating a death star. One such obstacle is the predicted price: 850 quadrillion dollars- based on an extremely flawed estimate. This is not surprising, as only one scientists among the ones estimating the price had any experience in aerospace engineering (and probably none in costing of such projects, considering that the idea of a real death star has never been dealt with before)….
